OUR MISSION

We empower amputees and other people with limb differences to realize their boundless potential through transformative collaboration with their peers. We nurture a mindset of infinite possibilities, foster self-advocacy, and inspire our community to live a life without limitations.

Vision:

To create an inclusive community for amputees and individuals with limb differences, where everyone feels a deep sense of belonging. They are inspired to achieve their highest potential, and is empowered to live an unlimited life.

What We Do:

Our organization is dedicated to serving people in Arizona’s Valley of the Sun who are navigating the challenges of life as an amputee or with a limb difference. While some may consider themselves to be living with a disability, we firmly believe that our community members can adapt to their physical changes and embrace the opportunity to lead a life unlimited.

Our approach involves pairing our clients with experienced community members who have thrived in the face of their own differences. These partnerships are carefully crafted; considering not only the type of limb difference but also shared interests. This allows our clients to holistically develop self-confidence, skills, and social connections as they work alongside mentors to pursue their passions and overcome obstacles together.

Founded in 2023 by Mike Bolland, Joe & Marie Bolland’s Helping Hands was born out of a powerful family legacy. Mike’s parents instilled in him a fundamental principle: to live without limits, regardless of the physical challenges of being born without a right hand. They raised him just as they did his siblings, emphasizing the values of hard work, determination, and a refusal to make excuses. In their memory and in honor of their legacy, Mike is committed to providing that same inspiration to others and helping them develop the skills and mindset to live an unlimited life.
